Make Your Skin Healthier

Make Your Skin Healthier

How long it has been since you visited a dermatologist? Can’t remember, right? Well, it’s completely normal for us to forget about our skin because of a chock-full schedule but ignoring it even on weekends, that’s not good. Just like everything our skin needs care and I understand it’s really hard to make time for self-care but doing it once a week is not a daunting task. Our skin feels worn out and we start aging at an earlier stage, this happens because our skin absorbs dirt due to the pollutants in our environment. Moreover, we don’t use enough skin care products that help maintain the pH of our skin. Another big reason is our diet, our skin is what we eat. Junk food makes our skin poor and good food like vegetables makes our skin healthier, glower, and tighter.

Apart from good diet and skin care products, below are a few tips that will help you bring back the lost glow of your skin.

Yogurt Face Mask

Take two tablespoons of yogurt, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, and a pinch of turmeric powder, mix them, and apply on your face and neck, gently massage until the skin absorbs it, and then wash it with lukewarm water. Do this once a week and you’ll see noticeable results.

Aloe Vera

Fresh aloe Vera works like magic on your skin. Take an aloe Vera leaf, peel it from the front side stand it upright in a bowl or sink for 15 minutes to let the aloe latex drain out. Now massage it every night on your skin. Aloe Vera plays an important role in balancing your Ph, not just that but over constant use, your skin will feel hydrated and fresh.

Green Tea Toner

After reading this, you’ll never throw your green tea bags. Once you use them, tear the tea bags open and take out the tea leaves, mix 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of yogurt, let it sit on your skin for 20 minutes, and wash it off. You can also make green tea and store it in a bottle, now spray it on your face as a toner 3-4 times a day. You can apply green tea, or you can drink it, in both forms it’ll do wonders for your skin. Try it out and see the results yourself.

Gram Flour Face Mask

Take two tablespoons of gram flour, and mix it with 1 teaspoon of yogurt, 1 teaspoon of aloe Vera gel, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Make a paste and massage on your skin for 10-15 minutes. When it begins to dry, don’t wash it, scrub it through your fingers. This way, your dead skin cells will come off. Do this twice a week.

Rice Flour Face Mask

It is said that rice flour is the key to getting glass skin. Take 2 tablespoons of rice flour, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 tablespoon of milk or yogurt. You can skip milk or yogurt and simply add water to form a paste. Give these ingredients a mix, massage the paste on your skin, let it dry, and rinse off with soap and water. This mask will make your skin brighter and tighter.

Honey Face Mask

Honey is anti-bacterial, it helps combat blemishes and gives you clearer skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties soothe redness and irritation. Honey face masks can do miracles to your skin, yet its face mask is so simple to make.

Mix one tablespoon of honey with 1 tablespoon of yogurt, form a paste, and apply it to your face. Wash it off after 10-15 minutes. You can also mix honey with 1 tablespoon of ground oatmeal and apply it for the same time frame.  Wash it off and don’t tap your face with a towel, instead, let your face dry naturally.

Rosewater and Glycerin Mask

Combine rosewater and glycerin, and apply it on your face. It will bring back your skin’s glow and will lock the moisture in your skin.

Potato Slices

Eyes also want care too. Potatoes are great for treating dark circles. Cut thin slices of potatoes and place them on your eyes. Your dark circles will gradually go away.

In a nutshell, our skin needs our attention, and these are just a few tips you can do at any moment, but the main thing is to stay hydrated, for that, you’ve to increase your water intake, and drink as much as you can. Ensure that your skin stays moisturized and clean and make your diet healthier because unless you don’t follow these basics, no remedy or product will work on your skin.
